Huzaifa Saif-ur-Rehman

I am Huzaifa, a Senior Software Engineer (Staff Level+) and Laravel Architect who builds dependable software and clean integrations. Since 2011 I have delivered SaaS, ERP, CRM, Accounting, Inventory, POS and ecommerce systems used by thousands, led remote teams, and shipped features that are simple, measurable, and maintainable. My focus is backend architecture, data integrations, and developer experience, using PHP, and Javascript/Typescript.

Work I am proud of: owning the GEL Virtual Mailbox platform end to end, rebuilding it from CodeIgniter to Laravel, scaling queues and events, and enabling 10k+ customers and 125k+ packages with Stripe billing and internal ticketing. I also built a paystub generator that consumed the WordPress REST API, implemented a configurable US federal and state tax engine with annual brackets, and integrated Braintree to accept PayPal and other methods from a single checkout. I have integrated the USPS API into CRM workflows to automate lookups and updates.

Today I lead a remote team at Computan. I set technical direction, review designs, mentor seniors, and turn vague requirements into clear, testable work. I care about observability, predictable releases, and code that ages well. I ship with GitHub Actions, containerize with Docker, and run on AWS, Google Cloud, or DigitalOcean. When needed I go deep on performance, from SQL query plans to queue throughput.

Open source and community matter to me. My Laravel Telescope Guzzle Watcher and Laravel Pulse Guzzle Recorder help teams trace outbound HTTP and understand latency, and have been adopted widely. I hold JSNAD and Linux certifications, and I enjoy teaching and interviewing engineers. Recently I interviewed for a government training program to teach cloud computing, databases, ecommerce, and web development.
